Seasonal Garden Center Associate
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full time (32-40 hour/week) seasonal positions starting immediately through late fall with potential for hours beyond this time frame.
ABOUT YOU: You have a background or experience in horticulture, or working in a garden center or nursery. You are approachable, have a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. You have strong people skills and a positive can-do attitude. Retail and customer service experience preferred.
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
We offer a work environment in which our Tangletown Gardens Farm, Design Teams, and Garden Center are intertwined to offer our guest the unique experience they have come to expect at Tangletown Gardens. You will assist in helping customers with plant material (grown at our 140 acre farm in Plato, MN) keeping it truly local, and offering guests the very best selection in the Upper Midwest. You will assist in customer service and sales of distinctive pottery, unusual plants and trees, and garden art. As a seasonal garden center associate you will assist with processing (unloading and unpacking incoming new product and pricing as needed. Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time required). While not mandatory, some candidates with design experience will also assist as a maker (creating inspiring and sell-able potting bench items, succulent arrangements, and/or assisting as a potting bench attendant to help customers design and create window box and doorstep planters). Some candidates will merchandise (create approachable and creative indoor/outdoor displays).

Landscape Crew Member
Landscape Crew Member:
The Landscape Crew member is an integral part of the installation process of landscape projects from inception to completion. Landscape Crew Members will work under the direction of the Landscape Foreman to complete landscape installations at client sites.
Crew Member Position Overview:
-Work under the direction of Landscape Foreman, Designer and/or Landscape Facilitator to complete landscape projects for clients.
-Assist in all facets of the landscape process, from demo, to hardscapes and planting.
-Ability to safely operate tools and equipment used on site.
-High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
-Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
-Flexible work hours, Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm. Availability to work weekends or overtime as needed.
-Ability to bend, kneel, walk, stand and crouch for long periods of time during workday; able to lift 60-80 lbs, and able to work in all outdoor conditions.
